HAITI- HEAD TO HEAD
It has been over two months since the devastating earthquake in Haiti.
Head to Head was very fortunate that the school was not destroyed and is
still standing.  You have not heard from us in awhile because it has been
very difficult to connect with the people in Haiti who can give us  current
information about the school.

Jean's brother has been our main source of information.  He has made
several trips up the mountain to the school.  The government opened its
schools last week, and Head to Head reopened also on Monday, March
8th.

The government is not allowing any schools with concrete roofs to hold
classes under these roofs.  One half of Head to Head's school has a
permanent, concrete roof, so this half of the school can not be used.  This
means that half of the classes must be held outside.

Jean is very anxious to make a trip to Haiti.  It has been difficult for him
to wait.  Even though there are many dangers, he is planning to go for a
week shortly. We ask you to keep Jean in your prayers as he travels.

His first priority is to have the half of the school with the concrete roof
checked for safety.

As soon as Jean returns to The States he will let us all know what is really
happening and let us know what the most immediate needs of the school
are.
